Primetime plays mark toon's first appearances on over-the-air TV in over a decade

BURBANK - Fresh off its acquisition by the Walt Disney Co., the Vulp web seeks to make good on CEO Bob Iger's promise to Rupert Murdoch to play the long-forgotten Disney toon skein 101 Dalmatians: The Series in primetime on Fox.

Dalmatians takes the place of the canceled reality skein Utopia on Fox's schedule, effective immediately.

For Dalmatians, the series' Fox debut marks a homecoming of sorts. Like much of Disney's televised back catalog, the show has had a strange history; in a rare bit of oversight, the show's rights were accidentally dealt to what is now ABC Warner upon its foundation in 2010. That company's Overseer, Anonus Utilis, is one of the only people on Earth who cares about the show. But upon ABC's merger with Time Warner, he worked out a deal with Disney in which Disney reclaimed the rights to the show, allowing it to air on Fox free and clear.

Neither Iger, Murdoch, nor Utilis had any comment on this story.
