Really though, I got FAR too into the original Binding of Isaac. I can at least lay claim to Platinum God, though. Still fairly proud of that, honestly.
I haven't had any problems with Rebirth so far, but I also didn't have any major problems with the original... Every once in a while it'd do something odd or crash, but very infrequently.
I want to like Azazel, but their attack noise bugs the hell out of me. (Also, guys, spoilering character names is kinda pointless, considering they're all on the select screen from the start.)
I was doing it for the benefit of anyone who doesn't have the game yet.
Spoiler:
Also, Azzie seems to scale terribly. He's very powerful early on but that unique nerfed version of Brimstone he starts with doesn't seem to synergize with much of anything.

Spoiler:
It works amazingly with Tammy's Head and Ludovico Technique.
I've mostly been making use of the BBF to whittle down boss health (making them all land on it) and then wailing on them with tears (pun very much intended).
Think I'll pick it up again some other time to see if I can survive like that. The chances are probably a bit slim, but eh. I guess this game's another one for the List Of Things I Never Thought I'd Like, which is groovy.
