Barter with Branston pickle, or Paxo, or Heinz's baked beans, Jaffa cakes, or Twinings Tea that doesn't suck.

Technically the pickle, stuffing, cakes, and beans are available in a large enough town with giant Fred Meyer's or a British shop of some sort, but decent Twinings is impossible to find.

(We sell Twinings here, but it sucks compared to the real stuff.)

It's much MUCH weaker.

Taking the tea bag out of the water is pretty much unnecessary, because it can't make the water bitter (unless left in for hours, or something). And it rarely tastes as good anyway.

Basically, you have Twinings and we have Twinings of London, the lazy, underachieving younger brother of Twinings.

Mint M&Ms? I've never heard of them, but I'd imagine York pieces are close.

Also, it seems like every good grocer's international section here has British goodies in it. This wasn't the case a few years ago; I wonder what changed.

I live in a big enough city that there's simply a market.

I have, however, determined that I don't much like The Who despite serious attempts to listen to their music.

The Beatles have a lot of good tunes, and Led Zeppelin is frickin' awesome, on the other hand.

Also a fan of Oasis and Radiohead... I probably need to listen to more Blur...

I should taste test the Mint M&Ms vs the York pieces...I currently have both on hand...

David Bowie is hit or miss for me, but I tend to like his stuff more than The Who's.

So, compared Mint M&Ms to York pieces. There's actually a noticeable difference in taste, probably having a great deal to do with M&Ms using milk chocolate (US milk chocolate, not UK milk chocolate) and York using dark chocolate.

The M&Ms are also much larger than the York pieces, so you taste more of the chocolate and less of the shell...though the DARK chocolate tastes of the Yorks tends to dominate the whole thing.

Both are pretty good.
