So, I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, about play-by-post Roleplaying Games on forums, tabletop RPGs, card games, that sort of thing.

What I've decided to do is make a thread here where Heapers can propose RPs (and other collaborative gaming efforts eg. MMO guilds) of any sort to check for interest, a sort of communal interest check thread.

Plus, I'm bored and want to RP, but don't want to set up a game. So that's a nice side benefit. You can also post games you'd be interested in playing, but not GMing, I may do this myself in a short bit.

Thoughts anyone?

I think I'm going to run a Sorcerer campaign over IRC this summer. (I was going to run Magical Fury again after the aborted attempt, but for various reasons I'd rather not say in public, I don't think that's going to happen.)

I'll post setting info and a whenisgood or whatever once I have the free time to run anything, which will be July, but I'd like to see how many people here (other than of course @Crystal) would be interested in a game about demon-summoning.

Feel free to add your available times if you have any interest; the guidebook suggests no more than 3 or 4 so if there are a lot of applicants I won't be able to do it with all of you, so I apologize in advance.

The setting will probably be a vaguely generic college town like the Magical Fury campaign was, and the demons themselves will probably use illusions, things-are-not-what-they-seem, impossible figures, etc, but neither of these are set in stone since it'll be probably two weeks at least until I can even think about this further

This is going to happen soon! Right now @Crystal, Yarrun XIX(damn you spaces), and @Odradek are the only ones signed up, and if everyone got their time zones right, I think I'll start with character creation with you three this Monday at 7pm Eastern/4pm Pacific. I'll probably do two sessions a week.

If Centie's gonna be involved, then it looks like the general session will be Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday, and we'll have to start at 8p/5p instead of 7p/4p like I previously said. Would moving it one hour later make it more or less likely for you to be able to join in on Monday, Odradek?

OK, so official Interest Check for a one-off game of Strike! Basically, I want to run a full game at some point, but I haven't used the rules yet and even though they seem really simple I want to see how it works in practice.

Anyway, the rules are here, and the characters are here. (Feel free to make changes to character names and anything else that isn't an Official Game Stat, of course.) The game itself will probably be on Roll20.

Icon called dibs on the summoner, and Anonus has superdibs on anything he wants because he's the one who convinced me to do this, so unless they rescind their dibs this tomb-raiding posse has two spots open.

I don't know much about this campaign but I remember seeing the SA thread for Strike! and it included a line along the lines of "Why aren't there many numbers in this? As a mathematician, numbers are my enemy" so it gets my approval. I'm already in emdogs, though, and might restart Sorcerer soon, so we'll see.

To clarify, when I say one-off I literally mean an adventure that takes just one session (if it goes well I would probably start a completely different campaign where everyone makes their own characters) so as far as scheduling conflicts go we only have to worry about one night.
