The toys arms race

I just figured out why the Toys in Toy story never let on that they're sapient. If humans ever caught wind that they could create life just by manufacturing toys, then a great international toy arms-race would begin.

Nations would create toys and arm them with lethal weapons, training them to take out enemy soldiers and other toys. Millions, if not billions would die as giant GI Joe figures armed with real weapons took to the fields and outnumbered those countries with a lack of manufacturing capabilities.

Maybe there should have been a sequel to Small Soldiers...

One must wonder if their is some sort of Illuminati or other shadow group who is keeping this conspiracy under wraps.

Hell...it could be RUN by some of the first toys. As far as we know, all the toys are immortal so long as they aren't melted down or utterly destroyed. That would mean many of the world's oldest living beings would be toys!

In toy story world, this duck...ram...thing...could be controlling vast quantities of the world's wealth or power simply because it's had over 4,000 years to do it!
