I HAD NO IDEA SHOPPING FOR A LAPTOP CHARGER ONLINE WAS SO FUCKING STRESSFUL
I have a Dell Inspiron 5521, and they seem to just not make replacement chargers specifically for that model. Can I buy any old Inspiron charger? Does the wattage of the charger matter? Because I have no idea what my old one's wattage was.

here is what i think is dell's list of batteries and adapters for Inspiron 15R (5521). the wall chargers are the "Dell Slim Power Adapter" ones. you can check the "compatibility" list at the bottom of the product pages. also there are multiple wattages, more wattage means it'll charge faster probably but won't blow up your computer or nuthin
That's almost all of the money in my checking account, which I need most of to pay the internet bill.
It certainly looks like the original charger but I'm not dumb enough to think that necessarily means anything.
so if it's wrong it's no big deal
Hmm, I am skeptical of any "restocking fees", but I also really need the charger, so I am of limited options.

If only I could figure this out, there 's a number of old chargers whose devices are long gone. And I could use them to replace missing chargers for other devices.
amperage should have ranges as well. wattage is just the product of voltage and amperage.
if you can find technical specs for your equipment it should have input voltages and amperages specified
now i feel dumb for not remembering basic EM physics
