  What's really funny is that MCI residential long distance is still around and mci.com still works, though Verizon doesn't like mentioning it. I imagine it's only kept around to protect the trademark.

  Speaking of things that only exist to keep the trademark active, does BP still have Amoco stations where the torch-and-oval reads "STANDARD"?

  Now you've dredged up some vague (possibly fabricated) memory of me seeing one in person and being confused by it (this was, of course, before BP started wiping out the Amoco brand)
