The thing is that he also makes some comments against Act 6's quality that I agree with, but his general attitude is so grating that it's hard to take him seriously.

I mean, he be angry about how Gamzee's immortal because clowns and pointed out that troll mind control usually doesn't do what it did to Jade (turning her grimback, making her loyal without direct control, etc.), but he vacillates between giving out these nice paragraphs to be overly snarky and cruel.

And I don't know what to think about his opinions on Breathalyzer. He basically claims that John rejecting Vriska screwed over his pre-Scratch personality in a way that the three-year break couldn't sufficiently explain.

He kind of has a hard-on for Vriska, let's say that.

I'd imagine the grim-bark thing is more for dramatic effect.

That being said, she's not under Vriska style mind-control, she's under Travos style mind control. I think looking back at the comic, there's plenty of evidence this comes with some degree of loyalty.

Anyways, I think the fandom mostly moved on after John and Vriska met and John basically rejected her on the spot (and probably didn't help that he was told an alt him had already had a relationship that ended, too). It's kind of silly to be holding a candle for that ship after their last exchange.

Now DAVEREZI on the other hand, maybe we can still see Gamzee die or get horribly mangled somehow and witness some sloppy interspecies makeouts.

A guy can dream, can't he?

Honestly, the whole thing with Gamzee seems like one of those dumb stupid self-destructive things that kids need to do before wising up and moving on.

Tavros' power over animals is basically less direct mind control than the ability to instil unconditional loyalty, at least insofar as I could see. When we think of Jade as having her dog side under the control of that power, her adorably dorky attempts at being a super-villain make perfect sense.

Also, we already saw interspecies sloppy make-outs with Rose and Kanaya. More is good, of course, but it is true.

in a comic full of characters that are consistently amusing and entertaining, now matter how shitty they are personally, gamzee stands alone in his complete utter unfunniness and lack of entertainment value at all times

i think it is a dry meta joke on Hussie's part making a clown the least funny character in his comic

I don't really agree with that, though. And I don't think the majority of people would agree, either. It just so happens that most of the HS fans here would agree with that.

I think we need to remember that we are not in any way representative of... any group, really.
