Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
Tara Hatchett @Kintoki Con - It didn't come off brunt, it came off ridiculous. As a not only a staff member but an individual representing your organization as a whole, you need to put personal bias aside and focus on what is most important to earning your organization money and to keep it coming.
Yeah fuck safety issues like Homestuck fans blocking the doors at a convention full of thousands of people, think of the money first
For some cons, the fact that it's not Japanese is a problem; for others, it's fan behavior, as most of Homestuck's fans are teens and college-age (with all the wacky hijinks that would imply).

There are much better solutions than banning them.
I have no idea, but every concern the con spokesperson related there sounded reasonable to me. Mind you, I'm just going from what I'm seeing and reading here
If I knew a group that had members who created a major safety issue like blocking exits at a very recent previous con, I'd probably do the same thing and then just deal with the whiny backlash.

Then why couldn't they just have stricter rules about where people could go in the con? I mean, singling out one group is just silly.
What bugs me about this is that when any other fandom does stuff like this the response is "Wow, some of the people in that fandom suck." whereas with Homestuck it's "Wow, that fandom sucks."

Like I said, I don't know, I'm just going by what I'm reading here. Very recently at another convention it was Homestuck fans/cosplayers/whatever who caused a major safety concern and speaking for myself, if I was responsible for the safety of hundreds to thousands of guests at a convention, I'd probably do the same. At the very worst I'd get a bunch of people mad at me on the internet, unlike if disaster struck at my con and those boneheads were pulling the same stupid stunt again and people got hurt or worse
But it's not Homestuck fans who were doing that, it was a group of stupid people. Trust me, this is the kind of thing people only do to Homestuck fans. It's been going on for a while.

Well like I said I don't know, I'm just going from the information presented in this facebook thread here and they're reporting that it was Homestuck fans and cosplayers pulling this stunt
And here I was expecting that a big update had happened, and everybody was discussing it. But no, it's just internet drama.
It's kind of fascinating, really. Watching a flame war against someone (or multiple people) trying to representing a company (badly). The Kinoti-Con Account is so calm when compared to the fans. Not calm in a good way. Calm in a 'you're in an internet argument; show some backbone already' way.
And then there's this comment:
Kinoti-Con: we have already had a talk with those that lead the brony fandom
Since when do fandoms have leaders? Are fandom's actual cults now instead of just virtual cults? Do the brony leaders hold meetings with the brony fandom on Tuesdays and Fridays?

Come on! He's murdered a couple of characters and worships plus is actively helping an extremely evil entity that has itself murdered characters as well as murdered many, many ghosts.
Having to watch Trickster mode shenanigans first hand isn't much of a comeuppance.
I guess he's been maimed, but again, we're dealing with a murder who is aiding a worse murderer.
What line are you getting the "wasn't in control of what he was doing at the time" thing anyhow?

Assassin poems, Poems that shoot
guns. Poems that wrestle cops into alleys
and take their weapons leaving them dead
