Random thought: I wish they hadn't shown the monster in the Satan Pit. I think it would have worked better if they didn't, like in the episode Midnight.
i adore Midnight, but i think part of the point in The Satan Pit was that the devil, up close, *wasn't* all that scary, it's just a big silly red guy with horns making a lot of noise. The real menace came from the person influenced by the devil, not the devil himself.
i really liked that story; it's my favourite of the second series, although i know it's a controversial choice due to, iirc, scientific inaccuracies, reliance on formula and the enslaved Ood.

You know, I never looked at it from that point of view. I'll have to go back and watch it again.
The 'I believe in her' moment still stands, for me, as one of the most satisfying, triumphant moments in Doctor Who, because it rings true for me on both the literal/material and the emotional/dramatic level.
judging things with an open mind, including the presumption that all other presumptions could be wrong and should not be assumed to be truths when they are merely statistical likelihoods at best

it's delivered rapid-fire, he doesn't respond to 'what' he goes back to talking about how, just this once, everybody lives

Well, you're quite pretty anyway. :)
I'd decline a romantic relationship, since I have someone else in mind. Though I'd certainly like to remain your friend.
