also I think the remix is one of like two hits Kardinal Offishal ever had in America which sucks because dude is one of the best Canadian rappers and people now know him mostly as a Gaga hypeman.

"Do What U Want" is actually very clever, and "Just Dance" and "Edge of Glory" are enjoyable; I will also concede that Ms Germanotta is an excellent piano player and does the whole retro diva thing really well. But the better part of what made her famous just isn't that impressive. It's like, she's doing the Madonna thing but now. It's vaguely entertaining, and apparently her live shows are wild, particularly when she sits down at the piano and just plays, but this whole "oh how original" thing is simply not true.
