  Is this how the video game continuity handles things? Kinda funny to compare to the comics which still is constantly besieged by various love shapes if I'm not mistaken.

  Amy Rose is a young girl with a crush.
  
  Maybe later, when she's older, she and sonic will marry if it becomes mutual and develops into something deeper, or maybe that won't happen and it won't.
  
  Besides, there's a bit more to her than that crush.  She is friends with Cream the Rabbit and her mom, Vanilla.  She's also good at making friends with bad guys and turning them good, like what she did with Gamma the Robot.
  
  AS far as fictional characters with crazy crushes go, there are probably ones who are more worrying (coughcoughHelgaPatackicoughcough)
