The R Word.
This has been bugging me for a while. it seems that when people want to discredit something they have to do is accuse it of being "right-wing" sometimes without even saying anything else to elaborate. acting as if the notion that something is "right-wing" is enough to discredit it on its own without any sort of context. Ironically enough it's very akin to Andrew Schlafly and his dishonest use of the word "liberal" to discredit anything he doesn't like. I can understand using "fascist" as a legitimate insult at elements of the right because pretty much every aspect of fascism is pretty messed up. The problem comes with discrediting something simply for being "right-wing" Without even explaining how that became a value judgement.
