  Reminds me of how many things here in Virginia are named after places in England...several counties (most notably in the coastal areas), at least a half-dozen cities (Norfolk, Suffolk, Bedford, Portsmouth, Richmond, Winchester). It's not quite as many as Massachusetts, and we don't have quite as many of the odd Norse-influenced or Welsh names (there's more -villes than -hulmes or -wolds here), but hey.

  mostly accurate but i would say

  
  

  - somerset is entirely underwater

  - merseyside is crap

  - norfolk is inbred and nobody ever goes there on holiday

  - cumbria is boring (but pretty)
