The reasons I think it would be good for my mental health:
1) I would be less worried for my lack of achievement - if anything, I might take pride in it as it signifies refusal to take part in The System 2) I would be less worried about job, which currently stresses me greatly, as it is normal for hipster to drift from job to job and take none seriously 3) It would be good for me to take life less seriously, in general 4) It would improve my abysmally low self-esteem 5) I am already snarky, ironic and contradictory, might as well have a justification 6) Speaking of justification - fancy coffee!
All of the above is said with an even amount of seriousness and facetiousness. Am I on the right track?
^ saying things like tha,t are incidentally a good start. soon you will be like me and going to house parties full of anarchists and doing a spoken word performance and dancing to vaporwave, and having large in depth conversations about the merits of Berlin techno.

Hmm, I am working on it. But wouldn't snarking at hipsters and at my own desire to be one, and wanting to be one ironically, be sufficient?

The first challenge on your epic quest: define "proper hipster".
