this is one of those Japanese series that places a good deal of importance on what characters (that is, symbols) compose the characters' (that is, people) names. This kind of thing is hard to translate and in general the translation seems a bit slapdash. It's still made me laugh a few times so far though.
there's an extended joke about getting rice stuck on your face. I don't get it, unless rice on one's face is supposed to be inherently funny.
also, this chapter appears to go backwards in time a day before the prior chapter, which is where our two main girls entered high school for the first time and decided through a complicated series of events that they would kiss because they're special friends. This all makes perfect sense because Mangaland is a strange country.
the obligatory meta-strip where our characters find out they're going to be on TV with an anime adaptation. Didn't expect this to show up so soon, YuruYuri was running for a full three years before it got adapted for TV, but I don't know what the average turnover time on these things is.
so it looks like this manga is going to go the tried and true route of "we're going to make these girls lesbians but they're never going to be referred to as such, because....well fuck you." See also: YuruYuri (which really should not have been set in a middle school) and Yuyushiki.
we were introduced to these three last chapter but I can't be assed to remember anything distinctive about them except that the girl with black hair and pigtails has a name that apparently conjures images of a shoujo character.
so the main issue I have with this manga so far (at least as a western reader, this is far from an objective flaw) is that a lot of these jokes are very culture-specific.
I've never eaten yakisoba, and I don't really even know what it is. So I don't know why this is funny. The lack of translator's notes to at least explain the joke is disappointing. That said, Kaede's (black cropped hair) expression in the second panel is rather amusing.
so they then get locked into this room and start freaking out and Haruka concludes the only way to get out of the room is by jumping off the balcony (you can't just like call for help or something?)
the following eight panels are presented without commentary
With that, I think I'm going to conclude my reading of Sakura Trick. It's just not all that funny and frankly I've read better lesbian romance manga too, so, I'm sort of meh on it.
is the most amusing character in this manga by far (though I feel calling her "funny" implies deliberateness), meaning it's an awful shame this comic isn't about her.

Also, everyone is real fuckin tall.
Those two at the bottom are our main girls, btw.

no one in this manga is short, Haruka.
Also, you're basically fantasizing about your ~*friend*~. Such subtle.

also, this strip is real small for some reason.
what?
what the fuck is "salad flavor"?
what the fuck is wrong with you, Yuu Sonada (which is actually like a badass name now that I type it out), that you would enjoy such a thing?
anyway our main girls have designated the abandoned classroom from the last chapter as their makeout room.
they decide against cleaning it because something something filled with memories
this is a picture of me reading this manga.

Here we establish that of the two, Haruka is the perv.
admittedly, this is kind of funny. At least it is to me.
this can only end well
this concludes what is possibly the least graceful fall I have ever seen in a manga.
other characters!

this comic seems a bit confused about where it is on the Yuri scale because last chapter there was consensual kissing that was not seen as a problem.
never mind, then.
apparently.

"eh?" indeed.
HEY IMI
this is the concluding joke of the chapter
haha. Pocky.
