  this might be sort of, uh, picky but...for some reason I feel like the "tour" aspect of it makes it somehow unacceptable...I mean, I might wear a Led Zeppelin shirt, but not a "Led Zeppelin 1977 tour" shirt because I wasn't even alive then, y'know?

  tour shirts are a decent way to support artists you like, which is why people buy them. Especially reprinted ones, where revenue usually goes just to the band.

  i can kinda understand it coming from a performer, since musicians tend to receive only a small fraction of the profits from sales of their work
  
  that and it's one of those faux-deep things that people say all the time regardless of age
