Yahweh

I just realized something. God in the Old Testament is a really spontaneous guy. His acts are completely arbitrary. Whenever something he doesn't like or he didn't intend happens, he steps in and "fixes" it, usually with genocide, bolts of deadly fire, or something of the sort.

God is a terrible DM.

The Angel of Death thing in Egypt? A PC went renegade and was doing something he didn't like, so he had to force him in a situation where said PC could not continue doing said thing without breaking character. The Canaanite genocide? "Oh shit, guys, that Promised Land I told you about? It's already occupied by some other PCs. Eh, screw it, you guys kill 'em all." The time when he very nearly killed his chosen people, had it not been for Moses? He didn't want them to worship some homebrew god after his personalized custom overdeity.
