  Not necessarily so, but an economist should be able to suss out obvious false equivalencies like that, which leads me to believe he's somewhat willfully ignorant, as many libertarians seem to be. It's the only explanation I can think of for why so many people who are so obviously intelligent could support so many ideas that are either completely wrong or are only right in such specific contexts they might as well be wrong.
