I don't know why, but knowing these things exist is driving me crazy. I want to kill them all, but knowing they are physically incapable of caring, or even being aware that something is trying to kill them boggles my mind.

they have a brain stem, their genetic lineage is one of the longest of the Chordate creatures, and they have been on this earth with tons of opportunities to stem out their species but they have remain unchanged. They survived 4 fucking mass extinctions and they still haven't developed a functional brain.

Which bugs the shit out of me. How can something with the potential to be sentient, and maybe some day sapient, spend so much time blowing fartwater out of it's ass for billions of years?

The likeliness of life on other planets composing of primitive worm creatures and tunicates is pretty high due to their simple body structure.

tunicates have diversified and had species go extinct same as any other order. try looking at some other species to see the diversity of morphology

Also turns out my biology class is composed of tunicate research, instead of how best to assassinate sherlock homes or investigating the enzymes needed for digesting wood fiber.

I'm not angry at fish because they have external organs, like eyes, and spend the majority of their time inspiring religions and keeping the children that make my shoes alive with their protein rich meats.
