I read the posts. Ragequitting in general invites drama. I see their point, basically. I don't agree that you were attempting to guilt trip, but I get how it COULD be interpreted. I'm on your side on that, though.
I found out I still have PM permissions, so it's not as big a deal. I can still talk to any of the people i'd miss. Just not on the forums (which is the main thing I am trying to quit)
I've just realised something. I don't like communities.
I don't mind collections of individuals who happened to be in the same place and sometimes hang out with each other. But not communities, where people are expected to have some sort of common spirit, where talk about good for the "group as a whole" starts and where gossip, underwater currents and unwritten expectations thrive.
I'm thinking of just n ot voting in 2012. Then, depending on how things turn out with the election and new years day, Probably killing myself if the whole 2012 thing is a hoax.

ODOT claims the current (related) I-71/I-670 construction has been planned with "walk-away phasing", meaning once the current phase of construction is done they can just leave temporary setup until funds allow the next phase to begin. I'm skeptical of how well that will work, though.

Well I was at a convention earlier and I asked some cosplayers if I could take their picture. Apparently Dad was proud of me for that, because usually I try to avoid talking to people as much as possible and never say anything.

Yeah, that sounds like the kind of thing my family would be impressed with, too. A few months ago, they were quite pleased with me for asking my friends if I could sit in on their Mutants and Masterminds game for a few weeks.
I remember when I was 21, my family went to Disney World, we were going to ride a bus somewhere, and I asked a girl if she minded me sitting next to her. Later my mom said, "it was nice of you to ask that girl if you could sit there."
