The 101 Dalmatians: The Series fandom isn't horrible

Mainly because it probably barely exists

    They're clearly closet Dalmatian fuckers.

I mean, why else would anyone become a fan of something unless they wanted to fuck everything on the show.

honestly i don't think fandoms are horrible, much less that people are

but i think one has to admit that when fandoms get to a certain size they tend to attract some... less savoury types

    idk

I think it's more that the best and the worse of any fandom inevitably becomes the most visible.

So, given how huge MLP is, we get fully animated and produced cartoon shorts, and also Google image searches loaded with fetish porn.

    yeah, that's probably more accurate

    How
DARE you acknowledge people as human beings instead of generalizing based on labels!

you know i was never that much into Sonic

but i honestly enjoyed the 3D titles i played, even tho they weren't as good as the earlier games in the series

Don't talk to me of obscure fandoms.

You say that the 101 Dalmatians fandom hardly exists. They have multiple fan art on Deviantart.

That's more than I can say for The King's Shadow.

You don't know how good you have it.

i used to be into KateModern

there is 1 fan drawing relating to that series on Deviantart and it's not even very good

OK i admit, that's miles better than i could do

Joking aside, I do wish that Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Cow and Chicken had bigger fandoms than they do

Though at least SGC2C managed to spawn Adult Swim; David Feiss's career is just kinda sad (ever since C&C and IAW, he got booted out of [one of] Hotel Transylvania's director's chair[s], and he's most recently done grunt work on Rango and Despicable Me 2) :/

I want postmodern literature in general to have a larger fandom

but then people would have to read stuff

Does House of Leaves count as postmodern?

Look, there is only one The King's Shadow related thing on all of Deviantart; and it is just the book's cover with words photoshopped on it.

Books tend to have smaller fandoms, i think, with a few notable exceptions.  It might be because there are more books than there are TV shows or films.

i just looked up Wild Mountain Thyme by Rosamunde Pilcher on Deviantart; no results whatsoever.

Wild Mountain Thyme has several references to it on Tv Tropes.

Not only does Tv Tropes have no page for The King's Shadow, it has absolutely no references to it; no trope examples.

    Basically yeah

There's no strict definition of it

^^ i can't find any references to it on TVT.  Are you sure they aren't references to the song with that title?

i thought it would, but i thought it might not count because of the satirical aspects.

i asked because it seems to have quite a substantial online fandom.

Which is odd, because most people i've mentioned it to IRL hadn't heard of it, and those that had were surprised i had read it.

On investigation, there are no references to Rosamunde Pilcher on TV Tropes.  This is at most mildly surprising.  i doubt there is much overlap between her readers and tropers.

    Oh, obscurity-buddies!  Yay, i think?

Post-modernism is frequently self-critical and humorous. Consider Derrida. But setting that aside, Danielewski's games with form are decidedly post-modern.

I knew a lot of people who had heard of it and several who had read it, but my circle of friends is a fairly strange one. Not stereotypical nerds, but very nerdy in many respects, very into dense and challenging reading, music, art. Like hipsters without the trendiness.

I find Tsubasa Kazanari most attractive of the Symphogear cast but Chris Yukine is a more interesting character.
