That thread had way too much serious discussion.

I'm just going to say that Hot Topic and the merch in general is obviously catering to bronies on many levels.

If the companies that make this stuff are going to acknowledge their adult fans, even if it's just ultimately to separate money from wallets, I'd say that' pretty much covers any crushing victory the bronies wanted.

If there's people out there who feel better thinking fans of the show are all fedora wearing horse fuckers, that's there issue, but there the ones who will probably have to deal with the nostalgia train that's always running at Hot Topic in 10 years.

Man, if stereotypes were true I'd be, like, triple-addicted to pot. And I don't even qualify for half the relevant stereotypes.

I'm pretty sure most of the population of Eugene would be addicted to pot so many times it would be on some kind of abstract existential level. Like, the people walking around aren't really people but just ambulatory stacks of cannabis with dreadlocks.
