why new wave? Because nothing goes better together than synthesizers and milling.

Anyway, I've started playing Magic again recently after downloading the LackeyCCG program and the Magic plugin for it. So I figured I should make a new thread. I'm still a total noob to the game, but with the help of a friend I've made a decent deck and as such am looking to play more.

We did used to have an MtG thread by the way, but it's lost in the recesses of the forum and many of the people who used it are no longer here, so I made a new one.

Try and see if you can find a copy of Cockatrice.

It's basically a freeware version of Magic Online. Allows you to build decks out of any cards and battle others on a server.

The official site got shut down by Hasbro Germany, but the program itself still works. Should be able to get it working from here.

Man, is there really any middle ground between an aggro deck that gets maybe 20 creatures out and an infinite combo? Props for being mythologically accurate, though.

The program works fine but none of the currently active servers are easy to connect to. It's simpler to just get Lackey imo, but if you can find me a server that works I have the program installed.

Yeah the servers are why it's not usable anymore.

Lackey is pretty simple to use (and it has sound, which I choose to disable, but w/e), I recommend getting it.

Rebuliding my old Treefolk deck on Lackey. Been years since I've opened this thing.

It still has a bunch of 'destroy target artifact' and 'destroy flying' cards from back when Ramus was always using flying creatures and those frigging living weapons.

so hey, I've been doing this again and it seems like all of the usable magic sims have dropped off the face of the earth.

More aptly, Cockatrice is still unavailable for download unless you're like part of a cult or some shit, and LackeyCCG's sole Magic plugin doesn't seem to work right anymore (it downloads and loads fine, but it only has cards from like, the last two expansions or something).

Help?

anyway the thing itself is working and I seem to have all the cards I need to compose the Blue/Black deck ignatius and I made a few days ago. If anyone wants to play we can, I just have to figure out how to connect to servers, I haven't done it in forever.

It autodownloads once you select a card. (Unless it's an M15 only card, hence the mention in that post)

Only ones that aren't are the ones that are already in my deck, which incidentally I made before running that updater.
