That particular one is just way too expensive to use effectively (3RRRR is sort of an absurd cost in general, and if anything should be assigned to like a dragon or something).

Seven should position you well to win most (non-EDH) games.

In this case, you're probably casting it late enough in the game that your opponent may have a creature or two that will actually survive (depending on the deck type).
