Yesterday, Gucci Mane took to Twitter to let the world know how he feels about Brick Squad and some of the artists he’s worked with in the past, but apparently he had a few more things to get off his chest. Today he continues to speak his mind, and he’s not holding back. He doesn’t pay much attention to grammar or elaborate explanations, but he gets his point across loudly and clearly: “Fuck jeezy. Tip. Gotti. Waka.Nicki minaj drake d a Wooh.frenchy 2 chainz coachk kkaior eminem oj rock Quavo takeoff cardo dam g.”
Nicki Minaj responded, “I’m rlly cracking up. He’s fighting so hard for one more ounce of relevance. Tyga and I turned down his feature request last Thursday.” She also responded here. Tyga had this to say. T.I. said this. Fader reports that Gucci is no longer with Atlantic Records.

If today’s Twitter rant hasn’t made it clear—Gucci Mane is no longer in business with Atlantic Records. “He’s not with Atlantic anymore,” an anonymous former rep tells FADER exclusively over email. Atlantic has kept Gucci on a long leash since inheriting his 1017 Brick Squad imprint from Warner last year. In June, Gucci told FADER: “I’m basically an independent label with 1017 Brick Squad. I handle all my day to day business. The entire Trap House 3 album—I paid for every beat on that CD. I paid for every mix session, every mastering session. All the promotion, all the videos, any kind of promotional visual or any servicing of records it was funded by me and my company independently.” It’s not clear when, or on what terms the partnership between Gucci and Atlantic was terminated. “Not sure how the deal ended, it may have been a time thing,” says the rep.

Also known as Radric Davis, he's a rapper, relevant in 2010 or so thanks to having a couple of hits (one of which was his feature on the Mario song "Break Up", a single much reviled by our perennial favorite pop reviewer Todd in the Shadows).

He sort of disappeared for a while because of legal issues, which he's got a ton of. Not the sanest dude around, but hey.

The first one though, my tolerance of bad electronic artists putting feature credits in for rappers who don't actually appear on their songs was never high to begin with and has continued to go down over time.

i mean, i enjoyed the first one in a "musical impressiveness" sort of way but this is definitely funky

i guess you could say pendulum sold out

i mean they ended up basically being an electronic alt-rock act

but they started off as intensely forgettable jump-up so really selling out was a huge improvement musically speaking for them

I dunno it just strikes me as a weird thing to call oneself.

also this older Rusko track is alright.

I don't necessarily hate what people call "brostep", I'm mostly just ambivalent toward it. I think it could be a cool sound if pulled off well but I've yet to find anyone who does pull it off well as far as I'm concerned.
