I've posted this elsewhere, but why is it that most of the weeaboos I know are white? Like, I can't find a single not-white weeaboo anywhere.
well if you want me to be overly cynical, I could say it's because nonwhite people actually have a culture that isn't just a materialistic facade and thus generally lack a need to appropriate someone else's.
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."

Okay, I guess the Celts, the Norse, the Greeks, the Romans, the Slavs, etc. never existed. Because white people never have their own cultures, and anything resembling one had to be stolen from someone else.

I wouldn't go so far as to say there's a "white" culture, but there is a general American culture that white Americans (who make up the majority of the US population) follow.

That said I think that a lot of white americans certainly feel culture-deprived if nothing else. There are a lot of possible reasons for that. Personally, I don't really know much about my own heritage other than that we're apparently Dutch "or something" (direct quote from my grandma), simply because no one in our family seems to much care about it.
I think that sort of middle-class American conservative culture that a sizable portion of the white population get stuck in is what most people refer to when they go "lol white people".
People have been arguing about whether or not american culture is "really" culture at all for a long time though, and there are certainly people (white or otherwise) who do believe what I said above.

Eh, there are some American cultures. I mean, shit, put a guy from Texas next to a guy from Louisiana and a guy from Florida and there's bound to be some differences there.
