There are goats next door

There are two big brown goats in my neighbor's back yard. And they like attention.

I have no idea if these are his new pets, or some sort of hippie lawn mowing service. He doesn't seem to be at home to answer.

Sheep are generally the eco-friendly lawnmower of choice, but I guess goats work. You say that they like attention; are they friendly?

Yes, they're friendly. They stand against the fence and want to be petted.

I definitely would have expected sheep as eco-friendly lawnmowers. One of the goats was browsing leaves instead of eating grass.

Efficient lawn care goats do not make.

My step-dad purchased a few goats with this in mind. They turned a portion of the yard into a wasteland and the rest was mainly left untouched.
