so yeah in case you have not heard of them there is a death metal band named Immolation and they have two logos

the one they used on their first few albums is really rad, pretty metal while still looking unique and original

their current one that they've been using since 2005-ish on the other hand...

what is up with that?

yeah it's not their best (it was from a free EP they did a while back), it's just the first one with the new logo i found.

as metal logos go, you want to find the balance between "distinctive" and "readable"
