If there's one thing we can all agree on, though

it's that Carl's Jr is shit.
hardee's and carl's jr. are  apparently the same thing so ding dong you are wrong
  • Hardee's is also terrible and you should all feel ashamed.

Look, if we really want to get all snobby about this, all fast food is terrible. Go to a real restaurant you bums
  • but those are crazy expensiiiive
  • (also, I guess you could say my favorite fast food joint is Wendy's, even though I go to McDo more often)

(It would be Chick-fil-A but I never get to eat there and also lolhomophobia)
  • i like the dollar menu McChickens but that's it really
  • Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Am I the only person in this forum who actually likes Big Macs?

    Probably yes.
  • i have never had one but i have been tempted to try

Like...a Big Mac is healthier than a regular Hardee's burger.

^I tried one. It was not a proud day.

    McDonalds is shit

    their nuggets are okay
  • I dunno though, I still like Chick-fil-a. I like their waffle fries.

I think I've said this before, but: I like their food, but I don't want to end up indirectly paying for gay cure therapy.

Speaking of which, I'm amazed that Chick-fil-A supports our school's activities when one of our most vocal organizations is our GSA.

    Probably yes.
I do. Quarter Pounders with Cheese are better but I will gladly eat a Big Mac if offered one.

I agree with the doctorate possessing crocodilian.

I've never had Chick-fil-a and I don't want to, I don't wanna know if I'm missing out on something good for sticking to my guns
  • I have never seen a Chick-fil-a
  • Like...my friends and I still eat there from time to time.

Neither have I, though I know there's one that exists around Flint, given that it has been brought to the dorms before.

Man, I haven't had Hardee's in ages, probably the last time we went to Ocean City in 2008. (There's none left in the immediate DC area due to rigamarole involving the Roy Rogers brand; I think the closest one to me is at Aquia Harbour, a good 20 minute drive or so south of here assuming no traffic).

I'm not sure if there's a universally agreed metric to measure people's palette's, but I'm guessing fast food joints isn't it.

    I like Carl's Jr.'s milkshakes, at least.

Also Hardee's was once separate from Carl's Jr.; CKE bought it in 1997 and started overhauling its menu to resemble Carl's Jr.'s more closely.

There were Hardee'ses in Colorado prior to this; I have an ad for them on a 1994 tape of Top Gun off of KWGN.

  • you know homura wants madoka's pink taco
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
I was thinking the exact same thing.

    Are we terrible people?
  • I like Mexican-inspired food, too.  I've multiple times had Chinese-style stir-fried meat-and-veggie dishes as the contents of burritos (along with cheese, sour cream, and salsa).

And there's a Chic-Fil-A on campus but I refuse to patronize them because of their politics.

Of course, it helps that there's a cheap sub place nearby, and a Taco Bell right next to it.

@Justice: The Nacho, Cool Ranch, and Volcano tacos are all pretty tasty.
  • i'm staying away from those; I have enough heavily-seasoned/-flavored foods when eating out already.
  • The sadness will last forever.
    mmm mexican food
  • I like the 7-layer burrito.

I just had a Nacho and Cool ranch. Taco bell tacos are pretty reliably good.

    I like the 7-layer burrito.

it's like every year on the news they have a thing about how to eat healthy at the state fair, but that's like missing the point, y'know?

Funny, every year here they have a thing on the news about how delicious the State Fair's deep-fried candy bars are.

Also I like Hardee's but there aren't any in the Columbus area for some reason, so I only really get them when I'm traveling elsewhere in the state/country.

Yeah. There's one a few miles up the road from here.
  • I realized that I don't think Phoenix has a lot of the same chain restaurants/fast-food joints as you guys, though we do have a fair amount of burger joints here, such as Islands, Zinburger, and The Grind.
  • As far as burgers go, the best fast-food burger is In-N-Out, everyone else go home.

There exists a chain called Del Taco, which is concentrated mostly in the western U.S.

I kind of prefer it to Taco Bell in some ways, but their name bugs me. It was originally "Casa del Taco" (House of the Taco), but it was later shorted to just "Del Taco" (Of The Taco).
