technically speaking this was to be a sole enemy, rather than a "true" unique. However, due to some mechanic tweaks it doesn't really work anymore, so:
Rock Drakes are solitary creatures, only a few of whom exist on a given continent at a time, and among the first dragon-relatives adventurers into the dungeon are likely to encounter. They are not true dragons, as they lack wings, but their formidable defenses and powerful crystal shard breath should not be underestimated. Luckily, they are somewhat less resistant to magic.
Rock Drakes resemble gargantuan, spiny lizards with chunks of rock and crystal embedded haphazardly into their brownish flesh. Their teeth are quite large and jut out of their mouth at an awkward angle, and all male members of the species have a severe underbite. They also have very distinct eyes. Large, yellow, and with milky white pupils. This may make the foolish think they are blind, but rest assured that this is not the case.
Abilities
Crystal Breath: The Rock Drake exhales a powerful, cone-shaped blast of air, flinging sharp bits of crystal out at attackers. These shards deal 1d12 Earth damage per shard (1d4-1) if they connect, and are quite difficult to avoid. [Cooldown: 4 Turns] [Range 2: Cone]

here's a (smaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall) peek at the unique you will be meeting. Provided nothing changes.
Spoiler:
Hold Soul -- The caster targets a player character that has died on this turn. If successful (30% chance), the caster temporarily binds the spirit of the player character to his service for 1d4 rounds. The spirit has all the abilities it did in life, and is invulnerable until released or dispelled. This spell can be severely psychologically damaging to the victim.
Mechanically speaking, would it be possible to hold someone above the lines of death just enough so the ring won't activate, even as you carve out their major organs?

In theory, maybe. Mechanically, as in, in-game? No.
The tie is red today. N's ties are usually red, though he has black and blue ones for special occasions. He also has two pink ones that were given to him as a gift; he keeps them out of respect to the giftgiver, though he refuses to acknowledge their existence.
Take your characters (and the enemies) in alphabetical order, roll a simulated d(number of combatants), and assign you based on what the result of the die roll was.
In this case the Idol was shuffled into first because he kicked off the battle, but that's an exception, rather than the rule.

The idea behind "aelemental damage" is that it's literally not elemental at all (hence the name of the Colorless Magic passive). So, I kinda doubt it.
Maybe, if you come up with something outstanding. I kind of like "aelemental" honestly.

Blank Damage
Null Damage
Aether Damage
Clear Damage
Void Damage
eh.
maybe Clear, but even then
those all have implications other than "not being elemental", and "nonelemental" is what Physical Damage is called.
Uh... How the hell does that work? I thought you said we didn't die, but got warped back to the academy?
You do, but the process is temporarily interruptible, and technically speaking, you do die, just only for a few seconds (normally).
Not nearly long enough to see anything unfortunately
On a scale of 1 to 10, 5 being, "Nathan and his ways make perfect sense all hail Nathan", HOW badly would Hold Soul fuck up somebody's mind?
I answered the spirit of your question.
Look deep inside yourself while drinking a soda pop, and you will learn the letter.

so am I, so, I doubt it will be a huge problem.
Ready when y'all are.
k
I will need y'all's characters to enter the Dungeon first, though.

I need a better activation phrase.

I'm sorry, I'm really tired.

Nathan has strong feelings about statues
the only time you took damage against the goblins was when you tried to dissect it.
...Well mine got slapped by a slime so there >.>
