He wanted the slime. The slime got away. Fuming, he tried to get a goblin. Goblin died. He wasn't going to leave without something, so he tried to get the hand. No dice. So he tried to carry the body and it escalated into two charred hands in his bag
How will capture work? Will it require certain soells or can we effectively capture monsters up to a certain strength with nets and such? Does summoning magic need to be used to bring caught monsters to battle?
Well basically with necromancy you're trying to either revive the creature in skeletal form wholesale, or you're mutilating it to add some kind of extra properties (see something like D&D's Boneclaw, which is a skeleton with massive rake claws). With construction, the bones are just a material and you're not really dealing with necromantic energies in any way. That's why a Bone Golem isn't undead, even if it is macabre.
You try sticking the goblin in the bag out of frustration and Mojave just managed to allow that foolery to kill the goblin, are you trying to say you intended to kill the goblin in that particular method with the bag?
I will possibly be back later, but I'm not sure when. Have some things to do this evening.
Also, I'm planning to go into the city Sunday, and might be doing stuff Saturday, so... eh. I'll likely be here later in the evening during the weekend, but I can't promise anything. The week is free, however.

Any way for them to regain power? How many uses do they typically get?
They don't have charges like wands do, they just have a % to break chance that grows slowly as you use them more often.
And no, neither they nor wands regain power.
...Any way to make wands? Charms?
Yes, but it's not anything you can do.
You can buy them from the Academy, but they're expensive.
Is it possible, in the future, to upgrade a summoning spell with obedience? Eg If I upgraded my imp, he'd listen to me better
That's just how imps are mahboi.
That said, your imp will naturally grow to respect you more over time.
Wonder if it helps that I do batshit things the imp approves of such as making a goblin choke to death, along with giving it gifts as thanks?

Generally speaking, capturing doesn't work, and I'm really not sure where y'all got the idea that it did.
Sometimes you will find creatures that you can free and tame as pets, but that'll be a pretty rare occurrence.
Though, if you did summoning in reverse, I dunnno what would happen.
So, no.
So I guess that's why a prof might look at rhe hands and wonder wtf I'm trying?
Yes.
That and also carrying around severed hands is just a little strange.
I think I fell under strange long ago
With a live goblin
I only meant to say "no" as in no for me.
You guys can still play, I just can't.
I'll try to be clearer with my intended messages in the future.
