a synth patch would be a setting on a synthesizer that makes a sound

an 808 sample would be a sample from the Roland TR-808, a budget drum machine from the 80's that became a surprise success due to it's unique timbres, most notably the kick drum which is pretty much perfect.

it sounds more boring / trend hopping than bad.

also the song sounds like it's trying to be two things at the same time, a more stripped down remix might actually be nice.
