I don't think that we had a general pet thread up to this point, so I think it's worth starting.
My family has a cat, whom we call the Angel of Death, or just Angel. She adores me for reasons that I cannot entirely understand, although it may have to do with the fact that I am a great big sap and generally more tolerant of her incessant talkiness than the rest of the household. Since we don't have a functioning digital camera, getting a photo of her is a pain, but recently she wandered into my room and hopped on my bed (which she generally does not do), so I took the opportunity to take a few select photos of her majestic doofiness.
She is. According to our vet, she's some kind of rare sub-breed (of British shorthair, I think), and a near perfect specimen to whit. We found her in a park, and we believe that she was abandoned by some asshole breeder because her eyes weren't green enough to meet their standards (they're this kind of golden-green). Thankfully, we found her before a huge storm hit, and she's quite happy with us.
They are all adorable cats, and I really just want to rub Johan's belly, but Kitsune's colouring is just spectacular. She's a really lovely tortoiseshell... something or other.
*points to avatar* That little gray cat is Dusty. She's nearly four years old and the love of my life. I've had her since her mother abandoned her at around a month old, and I hand-fed her for a while until she'd eat out of a saucer (mix of kitten milk replacement and wet cat food).
