Hmm... whenever Pavement are mentioned, I immediately think of how people constantly compare ügsküll's cassette Gargamelodies to them, despite a pretty massive dissimilarity in style and ethos. I would post "Eavesdropping" from that album, but it's not on YouTube, so here's "Flowers Smile" from their sublime third LP:
To my mind, Bügsküll are a *remarkably* underrated band. For the most part, it is nigh-impossible to find people that have heard of these guys, and yet... apparently their first LP is a /mu/ patrician staple; it's on their silly little album chart and everything (along with 154 and a few other personal favourites). Not that surprising, but I was kind of amused when I found out. Happy, too, in a way, given that it might get people to listen to them.
... That song you linked is actually pretty good. It sounds like a cross between 1990s soft indie rock (think stuff like Yo La Tengo or Elliot Smith), early post-rock, and AFX-style electronica. I'll definitely have to check out Bügsküll more.
I'll attempt to return the favour with my own song, which is pretty good third-wave ska that almost nobody seems to know about. You might actually know these guys already via a certain user from TVT, but on the off chance that you don't ...
