  I remember the N64/PS1 version. I played it until I got to the lava stage. Could never get past the lava stage.

  When it first came out, Rayman had such a laughable and tryhard advertising campaign (Rayman is for FAMILY VALUES!) that I automatically assumed it was a garbage game and ignored it. Turns out that it's a great game and a bonafide classic.

  Ironically, it seems like nowadays they didn't try hard enough with the advertising, for both the last game in the series and its sequel (which was supposed to come out this month, but not anymore).

  also I ended up playing through about a quarter of 2 and the entirety of 3 (good thinking, Past Tre) and they are amazing and I'm sure it is very obvious by now that the series is my new drug
