As a result, it cries itself to sleep every night.

Sometimes it hangs out and posts angsty things on its favorite internet forum and gives bad advice to the Squonk, La Llorona, and Ladon.

the reason it's not on par with behemoth and leviathan's boisterousness is because it's name isn't intimidating.

I remember the Ziz, but it doesn't really do much. Simurgh and Thunderbird are much more interesting, and rocs have the advantage of being in the adventures of Sinbad.

I remember when I was like twelve, there was a book fair at my school that sold a book about monsters and villains from literature. Honestly, looking back on it the art was pretty terrible and some of the information was dubious, but it had a page for the Ziz.
