I guess I could do it that way, though honestly I like having the comics as physical objects.
I like having them as physical objects, too. I just had a MIGHTY NEED to read the Avatar the Last Aibender and MLP:FiM comics. I'll keep an eye out for the graphic novels when they're out
Adding a weekly Wednesday journey to my busy schedule that ends in my spending way too much on comics every week is something I'd like to avoid.
Though, come to think of it, a new comic shop opened about three miles away, maybe I'll start trekking down there for a long walk.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Man, I wish there were a 24-hour comic store
'Cause it would be awesome to go there after work on a Friday or something but obviously there aren't any that are going to be open at midnight
(Disclaimer: Lee wrote this at 2 in the morning whilst groggy. It might not make as much sense as it ought to.)
I've only seen the Season 3 finale once, and didn't think it was that big of a deal (as noted in the comments, it's not like being a princess in Equestria turns you into a skivvy like it would in a Disney film), but I also agree that a high school AU is playing with fire when it comes to subverting girls' show tropes. Especially when the dolls look like pony-flavored Bratz, a line that screams "you should like shopping, boys and conformity" louder than even Barbie does—at least Barbie has been shown being something other than a stereotypical suburban teenager!

I'm getting more a something about not judging people and fitting in and more of the magic of friendship than any sort of "shopping and conformity" feeling. Boys MAYBE if just because it seems Twilight has a male love interest, but even with Twilight adapting to keep a low profile, I kinda doubt they'd have much luck attaching a message of conformity to the likes of Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash.
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
Or even Fluttershy. Though most of her episodes revolve around her overcoming insecurity, the fact that she's fairly introverted isn't supposed to be a bad thing, is it?

A big part of the show seems to be the characters accepting each other and themselves for who they are. Obviously there's SOME aspect correction when the characters go a little too far (Like with the Mare-Do-Well episode and RD or Iron Will and Fluttershy), but this isn't to change or ultimately subvert the ponies towards conformity, just character development.
It's pretty clear that most the mane cast and even Fluttershy herself understand that she has some limits. I've never seen the other cast members try to contort her to something she wasn't, and when Fluttershy herself did this, she ultimately didn't like what she became.
Might I present to you! Teenage Mutant Ninja Humans! Humans in a half-shell, human power!
"Optimus Prime found a world of humans, and it turned him human as well, watch the friendly rivalry of basketball between the Decepticons and Autobots, as Prime learns to feel with human emotions!"

You know, I just had that gut reaction...Optimus Prime is a robot!
It seems like something I should have with My Little Pony, but honestly humanized fan art has been a thing for so long that canon humanizations were sort of anticlimactic, at least inherently...

I've come to accept Ponies are fickle, shallow creatures. That's the only way I can explain that no pony seems to consider Twilight and crew heroes for saving Equistria multiple times.

No one ever said you had to save the world because you were a good person, saving the world for sake of self-preservation is entirely possible.
Also, they're said to encompass traits that hardly seem to matter in a realistic sense.
For instance, Rarity is "Generosity", even if we were to ignore the S3 episodes where she is a lording force over her sister, then at the very least she still runs a business with it's own business ethics, so it's not like she's Mother Teresa(The collection of morals assumed onto the person, not the actual person itself).
It's both completely unrealistic and realistic that they're not idolized as heroes. I don't know how that works.
"It is a matter of grave importance that Fairy tales should be respected.... Whosoever alters them to suit his own opinions, whatever they are, is guilty, to our thinking, of an act of presumption, and appropriates to himself what does not belong to him." -- Charles Dickens
"Putting Your Hoof Down" was bizarre. The Ponyvillians aren't usually that mean...if they weren't, Fluttershy wouldn't have sought out Iron Will.
I just watched it.
I find it plausible that Iron Will had been in Ponyville for a short while, and other ponies where attempting to use his lessons. Just no one embraced them like Fluttershy, and the Ponyville regained it's senses when Fluttershy refused to pay.

G2 didn't turn their ponies human.
