I think that's supposed to be Dash's mom, and Dash is the pony having her tail pulled by her brother (sister?). I'm guessing somepony made a fan-fic and then another pony decided it needed super-cute art.

I think the one pulling the tail is Dash. That's what her hair looked like in the flashback episode. Also, I don't think her mane ever ends up on both sides of her head.

I'm no writer, but it doesn't exactly seem like it'd be difficult to write for the show while keeping it at this level of quality. I mean, comparatively speaking. You can probably fuck up something like Lost more easily.

I worry that season three could be the last. It hasn't been confirmed to have more than thirteen episodes; thirteen episodes would bring the total from 52 to 65, which is somewhat infamous in the animation world for being the maximum number of episodes kids' shows tend to get (usually Disney shows).
