I remember a Troper on tvtropes... who would baulk at animal companions being giving non-human names, as though it were a sign of disrespect for the animal.

While I understand the criticism, I respectfully declined fitting to a mindset that non-nomenclature names designate malice towards them.

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,

Last night I dreamt I was at some very large church...I wasn't actually attending a service or anything, though. I was just hanging around and exploring the grounds with some redheaded girl. It was one of these romantic-tension sorta things. We both felt interested in the other but no one wanted to fess up.
