We just escaped a mall shooting

One hour ago, a man in a hockey mask shot up Clackamas Town Center with a semiautomatic rifle. It's reported that the shots were fired at the food court and he fled via the Macy's when the gun jammed. Several people were hit, at least two are dead.

Leigh was in Macy's at the time, while I'd peeled off for Barnes & Noble.

Thanks, folks. Yes we're okay. Leigh evacuated immediately, but I had to phone her because a stupid B&N employee led us to a storeroom while everyone else was evacuating. Once we reunited outside the B&N doors, we were fine.

I don't know if I'm just jumping to conclusions, but I get the vibe it's the whole "Let's blame this tragedy on film/music/literature" thing that's happened in the past.

One thing I noticed from the report is that his AR-15 (basically an M16) jammed. So did the Batman movie guy's AR15, because he was using a high-capacity aftermarket magazine (the military doesn't use these because the only thing they do well is jam up.) I wonder if this guy did the same thing.
