In Dead Man's Curve
It's the guy the protagonist was RACING who dies at Dead Man's Curve! Not the protagonist! That is indeed, why he can say "won't come back from Dead Man's Curve" without being an exception! And he's talking to a psychiatrist, not a medical doctor! It all makes sense now! The song always confused me before and now I understand it.
