so, I'm sure most of you probably consider danbooru a source of porn at worst and a source of avatars at best, but I discovered today that there are some goddamn awesome scenery pictures on this site.

I didn't want to link to the danbooru pages because LOL ADS FOR FLESHLIGHTS, yeah.
although the categories of "porn" and "scenery" are not mutually exclusive. One guy in particular seems to have a very, very specific set of things his pictures always contain. Those being naked or nearly naked women, long shots of very detailed scenery, and (here's where it gets weird) detailed military equipment, often wielded by said women, and finally, bigdog mechs. Which are apparently some sort of quadrupedal drone that certain armed forces use to carry supplies.
Unrelatedly, I think this might be a loose interpretation of the little mermaid story, but it's hard to tell.
I cannot fathom how this incredibly specific set of....fetishes? Came to be.
Whatever works, I guess.
In other news, this is an interesting picture though not so much because of the scenery.
I cannot help but wonder the in-universe circumstances which would cause such an automaton to be made, and indeed what sort of world that picture takes place in.
Sadly, it is tagged "original", which means it is not tied to any kind of media.
If people in this universe can fly on brooms, what are the cars for?

I'm not sure if the site is "his" per se, but this little bloggity whatsit here offers some insight into the pictures and what they're all about. I'm not sure how "official" it is though.
