Magnets are alive and have souls, which enables them to move and interact with their environment.
And the song would have still been debated, but the arguments would be much lower profile and would mainly concern whether the beat was dope and whether it was fucken deep or just faggy bullshit.

It is really tiring to see the hip-hop community continually stereotyped in this manner.
I was, the intended implication was that no-one except juggalos would care.
Though actually, I doubt even juggalos would have argued about it as much as they did if it hadn't attracted so much negative attention from other people.
Honestly, the song has such a childlike ignorance that I almost like it unironically.
It's anti-intellectual, but those scientistic bastards deserve to be taken down a peg there are more important facets of anti-intellectualism to target before a lame pair of rappers.
@ SL: Fair enough. I was just poking fun, anyway; I don't hate the fans (who I have only encountered online, AFAIK).
And TBH I think the hate for that particular song is largely misplaced and stems from taking it more literally than it was probably intended. It's not saying scientists are actually fraudulent, it's about having a sense of wonder.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022

Well, it was along these lines: sometimes I feel conflicted between the sense of wonder that comes with ignorance and the drive to learn and discover new things.
Oftentimes I'll get fixated on some minor fact--"Why do Oregon's speed limit signs omit the word 'limit'?"--and I'll go to great lengths to find the actual answer...but when I do, I feel like I "killed" the mystery.
...This isn't very well thought out. It's one of those things were the point I'm trying to make has just barely escaped me.

Knowledge does not preclude wonder. The fact that the universe is as big and strange as it is is a beautiful thing.
This is true, but not everyone is awed or inspired by the same things.
This is what bothers me whenever this subject comes up; sometimes it feels like the suggestion is that you should marvel at things that are natural and observable and measurable, and that this should be enough, and if it isn't it's your own fault. I don't feel that it works like that.
I mean, I do like learning new things, and realistically, the universe is so big and complicated that if you keep an open mind there always will be new things to wonder at. But that's not the same wonder as wonder at the truly unknown, the truly unknowable because you have the faintest inkling of neither the equation nor the boundary conditions. It doesn't feel the same at all.

Even juggalos aren't always that bad. You just have to watch out for the ones that wear facepaint.
Also, ICP might not be amazing musicians but from what I've heard they're actually pretty nice people.
I think ICP is the only case where I've had second thoughts about the music because of the fans.

It's not like this thread is going anywhere amazing anyway.
I don't think ICP take themselves very seriously.
They collaborate with Vanilla Ice on a semi-regular basis. You kind of can't, at some point along that line.
