That comic is brilliant. Brian is the undisputed master of the brick joke, and I'm not even just talking about the one he set-up at the beginning of the comic. He has several that he setup YEARS in advance, it's some really impressive foresight.
Earlier strips where a bit rough, and they where a bit heavy on the Simpsons references, but it all improves very quickly.
He also should get mad props for making a comic about four characters who NEVER develop as characters. It's a bizarre part of the comic's charm and he actually manages to make this a major part of the story several times.
If you've never read, or it's been a while, I suggest binging the hell outa this comic over several days.
Philosophy and Transhumanism have never been more palatable to me. Not saying I agree with the latter, but it takes talent to weave an interesting story out of philosophical concepts rather the other way around (that is, writing the story first and shoehorning in the philosophy later).
Also, Kimiko Ross for smexiest webcomic protagonist.

In the hypothetical event that you couldn't use the name Nedroid (or I suppose in the event that there is a parallel universe where another you draws Bearmato), what name would you go by online?

Ctrl+Alt+Del: The Animated Series
The Animated Series was first announced in a press released from Blind Ferret Entertainment on December 1, 2005, in which the company announced that it would be the company that would develop and distribute the series. The first trailer for the series was also made available on the same date as the press release. The President and CEO of Blind Ferret Entertainment, Randy Waxman, explained that his company was the one that approached Buckley and pitched the concept of creating an animated series based on his webcomic, believing that the characters would translate well to the format of an animated series. Buckley noted that he was approached by other companies before coming into contact with Blind Ferret Entertainment, but he believed that they had the most appropriate combination of skills and experience to make the animated series a reality.[13]
Ryan Sohmer, vice president of Blind Ferret Entertainment and the series' director, claimed that the animated series, which used a traditional 2D style, a professional voice cast, and a lengthy development period, was of sufficient quality to be comparable to that of televised animated series. Waxman admitted that television was ultimately where he hoped the series would end up, claiming that the series appealed to a key demographic that appealed to television network executives. He planned to pitch the episodes of The Animated Series to the network executives as one single pilot episode.[13]The Animated Series made its debut on February 1, 2006, and one four-minute episode was released each following month. In January 2008, it was announced that the Animated Series would return for a second season of 12 episodes, beginning in March of the same year.[14]

If CAD becomes a TV show while shows like Samurai Jack and Class of 3000 are cancelled...well, it doesn't bode well for the youth.
You have very little to worry about here. I'm not sure I want to hunt down any of the episodes and embed them for fear of driving away members, but this show is pretty abysmally bad by most metrics.

Also, Blind Ferret dude came out and basically said the show costs them an absurd amount of money. I can only assume some of it was from them being sued by test audiences for the mental trauma it inflicted.
Let's see how mean I can be towards the show before I summon Irene. :P

Originally I was going to suggest embeding a video might summon a demonic legion of the damned, but changed my mind when I realized that was very unfair to the demonic legion of the damned.
Well, The Seventh Dark Lord of Hell's Third Circle Ejklosaxujaklnx is in the room with me right now because of it, but he says he really, really doesn't want to be here and would like to go back to poking the damned.
Ctrl+Alt+Del has some of the most exquisitely ugly art that I have seen in a comic. Not bad, just plain ugly; I've seen worse that looked much better. It's like some half-assed attempt to imitate a bad Seth MacFarlane toss-off.

Huh...
The gargoyles one was funny.
The first comic definitely needs some work... She could have given a couple of examples instead of he lengthy and confusing explanation.
I mean, if she's mad because people are messing up spelling here or their or some grammar, she's over reacting, if she cringes and wants to perform violence on someone everytime she reads "were r u?" or "Im coming 2 the movees" then I agree, and would have found the comic funny...except I just have these confusing paragraphs to attempt to figure out.
The third one I thought was misogynistic until you pointed out that it was basically the woman writing about herself. Which, I guess gives her a pass to characterize herself however she damn well pleases...
I think what bugs me (even though I perhaps the last person on the planet who should call someone out on this). Is that she uses a paragraph where a sentence will do. The second comic could have had the brunette say "Wow. No kidding?", and have her expression carry the sarcasm, but instead she goes on for a few more sentences to basically deliver the punchline twice.
Contrast with her Gargoyle comic which actually inserts multiple jokes into a few panels in less than twenty words.
It's been awhile since I've kept up with reading Girl Genius. I really should get back to it. The same goes for Order of the Stick, though the time period is even longer. Goblins is an interesting concept, but a bit too sad to me (sniff).
Also, is it allowed to mention NSFW webcomics in this thread? Because I do have some in mind (blushes)
Apparently the creator knows the dude who writes Something*Positive.
Not saying there's a connection there, buuuuuut....
I know at least three women from different walks of life who don't know each other that know the dude who does Something Positive. Maybe there's something about the guy, I don't know.

Guunerkrigg Court update
Spoiler:
Looks like I was right more or less. What surprises me the most is that Annie didn't see this coming. Parley and Andrew I can see expecting her to become the Medium, but I figured after the discussion with Jones, Annie would figure out she wasn't the likely candidate.
Spoiler:
I guess Annie is still the resident keeper of Reynardine, so the court can't exactly just brush her aside, but I can't say I disagree with their decision.

Spoiler:
On that note, why is Eglamore also surprised? He knew Annie was skipping on detention and probably not the courts favorite person, either. I'm really surprised that something that seemed sort of obvious to at least some of the audience is being treated as such a huge surprise to pretty much the entire cast.
Most of the webcomics that I currently read (still sporadically) are either because of introductions from my real-life friends or from reading this thread.

Actually I have heard that Klansmen, depending on what Klan they're in (there's apparently more than one, or something) can be pretty gender equalist.
Which is really just....
I'm not even sure what it is.

Reading Head Trip.
Some of the strips are funny on their own. Other times uh....
well it's hard to tell if the author is genuinely being a stereotypical misanthropic webcomic writer, or if she's parodying said archetype.
See there's this, which is just stupid.
and then this is the very next strip
and that red-haired woman is the author's self-insert.
So I can't really figure out what's going on here.
This however, might just be the greatest thing I've ever seen, familiar as I am with Tropers' overuse of the term "Xanatos Gambit".
