I made this thread cuz I like this game, and I also just found out something very interesting about The Grey Man.
Apparently, he's quite similar to a phenomenon called the "Hat Man" which can be caused by an adverse reaction to Benadryl (a lot of people who believe in ghosts and aliens also seem to think it's a physical entity, which, whatever).
I found this interesting as it plays into the whole drug theme pretty well.

You apparently need several thousand mg to get that.
Which is not to say that you should ever take that much.
I learned this by googling the phrase "Hat Man" (after learning about the connection on LSD Dream Emulator's poorly-maintained fan wiki) and getting taken to the official 420chan wiki, hilariously.
I'd buy a Playstation Whatever in a heartbeat if they rereleased this game
Do you have a Skype account?
I'm not willing to upload the ISOs I have. But I could direct-transfer them to you if you have a Skype.
Also I might have to take you up on this Skype offer as well at some point
btw I'm pretty sure I have the iso up for grabs, let me see
In that case I'll let you handle it, CF.
Goodjob.
It's been sitting there for a few years, actually. Damn near forgot about it
el-oh-el.
Yeah, I'd just link to the original page I got it from, but, y'know. Megaupload.

I TOOK PICTURES OF THINGSES
so first of all, I found this fish just sort of floating about in the overworld (that's the grassy area) there were also a bunch of little fish in the stream, but you can't really see them too well in this shot.
next, we've got a picture of the telemap. There are a couple of these (I think three) but this is the only one I've ever been able to find. It's an accurate map of all the hard-connections between the various dreamworld. It's honestly not that helpful though.
and here, nothing particularly interesting, just the Kyoto area with some neat fog lying low over it.
and here we've got a photo of the infamous Grey Man, and also a peacock. The Big G is a bit hard to spot, so I've helpfully circled and drawn an arrow toward him.
next, I took a snapshot of the rare tileset I'm told is named "sprechen sie sexie" (which I misspelled in the photo name). Basically it replaces the tiles with pictures of women, and the sake shelf in one area of the game is converted into a dildo shelf.
I'm gonna split this into two posts.
here we've got the legendary Violence District wearing one of the Trippy tilesets.
and before the dream (flashback, rather) ended, I managed to get a shot of The Soldier and one of the cars, too.
I got two text dreams and screencapped one of them, if any of you speak Japanese feel free to translate.
and here's something I have actually never seen before. I'm fairly certain this was a glitch, but the two tilesets shown here were layed over each other, with the colorful part rendering over the grass as I got closer to it.
and here you can see it hooking back up with the properly-rendered Mosaic tileset just before the flashback faded out.
and lastly, here's a picture I took the last time I played. This was at the top of the Pagoda, but a similar sun/moon face can show up elsewhere (including, I think, the Bridge of the Devourers. Don't quote me there, though)
what
what is this even
128, I think.
Or 122. One of those.
When you play a full year's worth of days, you allegedly unlock the ending cinematic (by which I mean, you're shown yet another cryptic video)
It's somewhat useful if--say--you really want to get to the Ape Head for some reason.
But other than that, meh.
A PS1 game.And I'll take a crack at translating

Kind of want to show this to my Nipponophile friend. See how far she's come in her fancy schmancy Japanese lessons.

Why didn't anybody tell me the Grey Man could teleport
He can only teleport when you're not looking at him.
Or y'know, not. There really doesn't seem to be a lot of consistency as to how he locomotes.
...And possibly to take up doing LSD so I can pull a Yo Dawg
