I was gonna stop when he put Birth of a Nation and Taken in the same sentence, but then I saw this:

We're getting
divorced, our son is gay, grandpa's too grumpy, my dad doesn't approve
of my career.... zzzz.... Hardly interesting when it's our own families,

And now I wanna know what kinda stuff happens to this person on a regular basis that these events become mundane and boring.

The Taken part wasn't really a good point, or at least, wasn't a good point if you don't have serious issues with someone killing people directly involved in human trafficking basically just involves drugging girls and forcing them into prostitution.

To be honest, I don't think these are "lies" so much as "story ideas that get done way too much."

I'm sure there are plenty of other entertaining lies the cinemas could be telling instead.

I think it's clear that these are cliches he has an ideological problem with. He could mention teenagers in movies always looking like people in there 20s, but he's more focused on disparaging the rich and the police force.
