I'd imagine Deadliest Warrior would give it to Pirates.

Gunpowder is a huge advantage.

Pirate gunpowder is always waterlogged though.

They did Knight vs Pirate, and there where several misfired on the blunderbuss, if memory serves.

Pirates still ended up wining, because when the blunderbuss DID fire, it was pretty much a guaranteed victory.

The pistol actually did OK, even though it couldn't pierce the Knight's armor.

Lighter armor might actually help the Vikings.

Then again, it might mean that the pistol is still more deadly...

Think I'll still have to give it too the pirates.

Gunpowder powered projectile weapons are just too great an advantage.

If the pirates get gunpowder, the Vikings should get to invoke Thor to blast them with lightning.

I'd imagine Vikings with magic Norse themed powers would carry the day...
