A year ago today, I was informed, as though it were a new development...
"corn has become pornographiq"
I simply responded that it already was.
Nonetheless, it was made official. Corn's relegation to the category of pornography upended everything about how we approach maize, and indeed, food itself. Images once considered innocuous were now deemed unsafe for children, families, and public viewing. Indeed, I've been told that the only way to make corn not-pornographiq is to pop it - literally turning it inside-out, irrevocably changing its form.
This cannot continue. Removing the stigma around corn in the form in its unadulterated form is an imperative. We must bring corn back into the mainstream. We must make corn acceptable in polite company once again.
