I think I got banned from 7chan once after having a "what does this button do" moment with what turned out to be a spam script. :P I've also gotten banned from IRC a couple of times due to freakouts, but that was also a decade ago.

I once got perma banned from a forum because I posted in a thread that contained links to offsite forum with some not very nice images of the mods as alot of people got pissed off by the admin team.

I guess it's not an especially effective method of "sticking it to the man" by simply disobeying accepted rules and getting ousted for it immediately.

You just kind of serve as an example, and don't do anything to really undermine the status quo.

I don't think I've ever 8een 8anned from somewhere. Usually I either just gradually stop going there or the site stops existing.

Closest I've gotten to 8eing 8anned is a couple sites where if your account is inactive for a certain amount of time it gets deleted 8ut that's different for 8eing 8anned for mis8ehavior, and if I'm inactive long enough for the account to 8e deleted I pro8a8ly didn't care much a8out it any more anyway.
